Stansted Mountfitchet Parish Council (SMPC) is happy to announce that the Elms Farm Allotment Association (EFAA) will be taking over the administration of the allotments on 1st February 2024.
We are delighted that the EFAA have agreed to take on this responsibility. Their role will include the annual renewal of tenancy agreements, revisions to Schedule 1, site inspections, management of the waiting list, finances and other duties.
SMPC believes this change is for the better. EFAA committee members are all current allotment tenants and will ensure actions taken along with any inspections are fair and reasonable and in the best interest of allotment holders.
As part of the handover SMPC will provide EFAA with all tenant contact details and supporting information. EFAA are aware of the GDPR regulations for handling personal information and have set up appropriate ways to handle the data.
SMPC will keep our allotment email open for the first month following transition and will advise of the change on our website. In the future EFAA will handle any suggestions, enquiries, reports, incidents and issues you have, with the support of SMPC.
