A new date has been announced for the AGM on September 4th at 7:30PM. Please see the latest NEWS announcement for full details.
Situated in the Essex town of Stansted Mountfitchet, The Elms Farm Allotment site currently has 60 plots, including two community plots and a beekeeping area. The community plots are run by Human Roots and Let’s Talk, Stansted! Men’s Shed (The Veg Shed).
The Association has the following aims:
To maintain a strong working relationship with the Parish Council, our landlord, and meet all obligations under our lease.
To improve the facilities for plot holders and keep the sites well-maintained.
To provide a safe and enjoyable environment for people to come together to share their interest in growing their own food, exercise, and fresh air while providing opportunities for plot holders to volunteer or participate in activities that foster a sense of community.
To develop and maintain strong links with the broader community and other complementary organisations to promote the allotment movement.
To encourage allotment holders to adopt environmentally and ecologically friendly growing, harvesting, and pest control methods. This will enhance and protect the health of the allotment sites now and in the future.
To ensure that as many plots as possible are allocated and cultivated in accordance with its rules.
